Is A Zambia Safari Your Best Choice For A Broader Experience?
Zambia safari packages offer a safari with a difference for the discerning traveler. While the rest of the world heads for Kenya or South Africa on the well trodden path, only to find that there are too many crowds, too much noise, and just too many distractions to make this really the safari they were after, you can be having the safari of a lifetime in one of the little known areas of wildest Africa. A Zambian safari is ideal for those seeking something different, although there are still tour guides and packages to cater to this market. Zambia is unaffected by the political troubles in surrounding countries, and booking your safari is easy.
So, should you choose a safari in Zambia? It is not an easy question to answer, as everything depends on your circumstances. There is certainly no reason why anyone would not choose a Zambian safari, even though they may not have any previous experience. It probably isn't the best choice for total beginners, but there are still ways to make it work. If you have already experienced a South or East African safari, and are ready to take on a new challenge, you will probably gain most from the experience.
Although Zambia is firmly outside the mainstream of safari destinations, there are still enough tour operators and package deals for you not to have to go it alone. There is a network of enthusiasts for this country who will do everything they can to help you get the most from your experience. Most of this experience is concentrated in the Luangwa Valley area, where you will find the largest density of tour guides and accommodation.
When you are considering booking a safari in Zambia you are probably worried about potential safety issues. No-one can ever guarantee 100% safety on any safari trip, but there is no reason to assume that Zambia is any worse than anywhere else. Political unrest in neighboring countries is only having a marginal effect on Zambia, and certainly none of the violence has spread across the borders. There is no guarantee that it won't, of course, especially in the form of mercenaries, but there is certainly nothing to suggest that it will.
When you are actually in Zambia safari tour operators will be there to make sure that you get the best of your trip. If you are experienced, you may want to forsake the motor vehicle and use horses to get up closer. Horse riding increases the trust of safari animals. This can be arranged at the time of booking, or when you arrive, whichever is better for you. This may not be the cheapest vacation option, but you are paying good money and your guides will ensure that you have a memorable Zambia safari.
